Which Came First? Part B

As a little recap from yesterday's bizarrely stupid post about why Twist has chickens living with her. For those who don't read the comments, here is the answer.

twist said...
OK, we got the chickens for their feathers - so I could make more window treatments. We will not be milking them, though our hens are dark and we're told they would, therefore, provide chocolate milk starting at around 16 weeks. When they've outlived their usefulness, we're going to give them to Amy's little dog and see if we get mickens.

The Elusive "Micken" with Star, Biggie Smalls and Tupac.

The Micken is a lover not a fighter.
The Micken does not lay eggs. But does lay "babies." ;) Poor babies.
The Micken is a one of a kind.
The Micken crossed the road because he needed to pee on the mailbox across the street. And the tree. And the bush.
The Micken pees a lot.
The Micken half crows and half barks to wake people up.
Which came first the Micken or the egg? What egg? I don't see any egg. Don't be stupid.
The Micken is real. For real real.
The Micken is in the hizzle.
The Micken loves you.
And You Tom the lazy steroid taking slacker. The Micken totally loves you. He loves all of Gods creatures.

Here's a nice quote that expresses my thoughts on chickens:

I like pigs. Dogs look up to us. Cats look down on us. Pigs treat us as equals.
-Sir Winston Churchill

Is it my imagination, or does the elusive Micken look a bit like Elvis? Just saying.....

Although I love Chris's quote, Kathy, you inspired todays CBTCK quote on the header.
I thank you. The Micken thanks you. You're thanked. :)

Mail me some of what you're smoking. I'm officially falling off the wagon for that stuff. And throw in a CD of you reading that post set to some crazy acid jazz for me to listen to while I burn! LOL! Miss you BendiAmy! xoxo

Has Biggie been reincarnated as a chicken? Tupac, too?

That's the best picture. Ever.

Wow, that's enough of a genetic mutation to make me want to stop taking all these 'roids.

I love the Micken, too. Micken Parmigiano is my favorite.

I'm with Amy (w/chickens, not mickens)--pass some of that over this way...

So, does the micken om? I might as well let it all hang out since you've portrayed me as a complete nut-job. I might have, once or twice, played the dali lama oming on a constant loop in the house to rid it of evil spirits. And I might have also once or twice left the speaker right above the chickens thinking, "what the hell, four birds with one stone, etc." Well tonight I went out in the backyard because mommy needed a little break. I let one little om slip - something I occasionally do for dramatic effect when my people are bugging me. Well, the chickens have evidently been listening! It was like a micken Hitchcock film without the creepy UNWANTED birds part...actually really cute. Clever little yogi birds! Top that, you crazy micken!

Amy said...

Oh Twisty One,
Please don't make me respond by post to this. It is to good! It is priceless. Your chickens are Oming. Can you teach them Om Namah Shivaya for the next time I come over? Or perhaps I better be there so I can teach them the abridged version. Om Om Om Na Na Na Ma Ma Ma Shi Shi Shi Va va va a a a. Look only 105 left to go...

Twist - while we all know that the original Yogi was a picnicking bear, poultry is very present in today's yoga.

Bakasana - crow (or Hitchcock) pose
Pincha Mayurasana - Feathered Peacock
Garudasana - Eagle
And of course my personal favorite:
Paschimottana - Drumstick

I am very proud that your fluffs of protein have found their roots. Namaste.

Don't forget Mickenasana: Stand with feet hip width apart and knees bent slightly; take hands to opposite elbows encircling prop (baby or frosty if no baby available); curl upper back; extend curl of back all the way to tailbone by thrusting hips; repeat until bored, exhausted, or chased from room.

Gugi, gugi goo. I'm so glad the Mickenasana wasn't overlooked as it is one of the most important poses when focusing on the the 2nd chakra a.k.a. the svadhisthana located between the belly button and the pelvis. Does the Micken have a belly button? Regardless, you did forget to mention that instead of that pesky throat breathing, the mickenasana requires a more guttural sound, kind of like a squeek/peep. On the inhale, squeek, on the exhale, peep. Continue with this rhythm until you pass out from lack of breath.

Okay Amy, you really did not have 437 readers today. It was me (and I'm betting Twist) just checking in to see what crazy but cool thoughts you had this weekend. (Okay - I realize that this screams "issues" but hey, they're mine. Every cute little psycho fuzzy issue.)

Happy Mick-Monday
