Have you ever heard that song by the Beatles, "I'm So Tired?" Well that is all that is playing through my mind, over and over again. I'm not complaining but I've got about 36 hours to wash everyones clothes, food shop for the boys, do about a million errands, try and find a little energy and get back on a plane with my ten year old daughter and fly back across the ocean to Turkey. While exciting and I can't wait because we are going to hang with one of my oldest and best friends that I have known since I was three. I am slightly in denial of what I need to do.
She lives in Istanbul but has a house in Kas which is this gorgeous little beach town on the Mediterranean. It will be lovely, it's just the getting to that point that is kind of freaking me out because I can barely open my eyes. I'm chugging the coffee, I've got the laundry going but instead of trying to multi-task, I've decided to watch the newest episode of Weeds that I missed. I mean, priorities. It's sitting shiva week for them because Nancy pulled the plug/smothered Grandma. I'm sorry but I love this show. I love every character, all their insanity. I can't even pick my favorite, they're all so kooky. Doug is up there though. Times ticking away. I'm watching it go.

I sat shiva with Nancy and her crew myself..a few times this week actually because it is the only thing decent on my DVR and I don't sleep:)
Can't believe you are turning right around and hopping on another long flight...makes me more tired than I am just thinking about it!
Welcome home!!!!
I FEEL FOR YOU!!! Can your fam not wash clothes or shop for food? Now I'd be putting some smack down on those fools! I kid. YOu just pack your bags and do what you can and leave. It's so funny, because we just got Weed's season 3 from Netflix yesterday! I think we are part of some parallel universe thing... anyway, hope the flight comes and you get to sleep the whole way. I'll pray for ya! xooxo
Welcome back and goodbye again all in one post. One day I am going to be a worldwide traveler too!! I enjoyed following your adventure to Greece and can't wait to go to Turkey with you too!! Good luck getting it all together. Keep chugging the coffee!
I love a good procrastinator! Welcome back.
Thought of you this AM as the Wall Street had an article on short pants for men. Please tell me America will resist!
Hi Amy
I was surfing the blogs and came across yours. It was so fun to read about Greece as I was there in March in Athens, and other cities. I loved the graffitti actually - it looks better in Greek, like soriority houses everywhere. And I loved the vibrancy of Athens and the people -smoking, riding fast motorcycles, flirty Greek girls walking over old ruins in high fashion heels. A wonderful crazy place. Welcome back - get some rest!
MAKE THEM ORDER TAKE OUT. YOU KNOW THEY WILL JUST BE DOING THAT ANYWAY. WHY BOTHER SHOPPING??? AS FAR AS LAUNDRY...A NEAT LITTLE TRICK I LEARNED WAS BAG IT ALL UP AND DROP IT ALL OFF AT WASH AND GO PLACE. THERE ARE ONLY MILLIONS OF THEM IN WEST CHESTER. IT'S WELL WORTH THE MONEY. THAT WAY YOU CAN LAY IN BED, WATCH WEEDS, AND 7 HOURS FROM NOW GO PICK UP YOUR LAUNDRY THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN WASHED AND FOLDED TO YOUR EXACT SPECIFICATIONS! SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN! YOU NEED YOUR REST FOR MORE FUN!!!! MISS YOU!
Okay, I am so jealous all the travel you've done and are about to do--that's the life I want! I can relate to all those last minute things that have to get done...and the putting it off (that's my specialty.) Your pictures from Greece were gorgeous! I can't wait to go there!!
Hi,
Do you really think Marc is going to make dinner everynight? Seriously? Marc, of Marc The King of not doing....You know I love him but.. come on..He is good for a snack and maybe a pop eyed egg or two..that's it. Just leave the take out menus on the counter and some chips in the bread drawer.
Tell Chase to ride his bike in Nancy's driveway around dinner if he gets hungry. She will invite him in.
