Why's Anon So Angry?

What to do? What to do? I have a post about the inauguration by my bff Jenny who was in Washington for the blessed day. I am going to put it up tomorrow for a nice weekend read. I just had one little thing to say. I'm perplexed (I think that's a smart word Asude, do you?). So here's the dealio, my very beautiful, incredibly intelligent friend Asude (Sue) writes a blog. Her blog is very different than my blog. She's uber smart and writes about all sorts of current events and politics and things like that. I go on in the morning like it's one of those word a day calenders to pick up something new. Now, granted Sue leans (like myself) to the left, to the left (everything she owns in a box to the left) but she is fair. She is smart. She reads everything. She watches political shows, she is informed. Besides the fact, it is her blog. She can write whatever she wants. If she wants to title the whole thing, "W Was A Big Dumb Ass and Steered Us Wrong," she could. It's hers.

So here in lies the point. She has a very angry commenter. His name is Anonymous. Isn't that the weirdest name? What were his parents thinking? They must have known he was going to get teased with a name like that. I mean, he could be anyone, Bob, Joe, Bill, Harry, Met, Sally because it's just a name on the comment. He still goes with his God given name, Anonymous. I say this, with great love in my heart, Anonymous is kind of a hater. Everything Asude writes just goes straight up his ass. He can't stand it. He likes to leave mean comments where he calls names. He loves W. He's not feeling Obama. He gets so angry with Asude for her writing. He called all of us readers "poor souls that hang on her every ignorant word." Seriously, it makes me laugh and giggle so hard, I almost love him. Here is a little excerpt from one of his very thought out comments, "Come, come, really I'll repeat myself then...read slllloooowwww sue..take in every word maybe you'll get it this time!! I'm laughing right now. I do love you Anonymous! I'm not quite sure why you spent over 2 hours on her blog in the last week. But it's cool. Every single person is entitled to their opinion. The thing is, perhaps a little more love and little less war and you might find your heart could grow three sizes in one day! Just like the Grinch's did. Anything is possible. Obama's steering the ship now. :)

I mean, seriously...why get yourself all worked up? It'd be easier for him to just not read her blog, you know?

Please know that not all right-wingers are this psycho! Hello, I love you and you know I want to have sex with Sarah Palin.

Ha--I just said that on your blog.

I love you so much!

And Lula, believe me, I totally respect people with differing opinions and even welcome healthy debate, as long as there is intelligent dialog and mutual respect. This guy (I'm assuming it's a guy) was just being hateful, condescending and rude. I think he should get his own blog and call it, "I hate Sue and her Prada purse."

I love you Amy! Anonymous is the weirdest name, I totally agree! I'll have to go back & read Sue's comments--as of yesterday when I checked back Anon had left one comment that was pretty scathing...I just kept thinking, "if you think this is so lame and beyond you, why are you here wasting your time w/a comment?" Seriously. I think he secretly loves Sue...she's everithing he wishes he could be and he's hoping she'll see through his facade.

Um, how does he know Sue has a Prada purse?

I agree with Christy. Methinks someone harbors a blogocrush....
Don't beat up on our Sue. Everyone deserves to have their own opinion! And Sue's happens to be written especially eloquently. Perhaps he is a frustrated blogger who is jealous of the notoriety that Sue's blog has generated???
At any rate...you go, girl..
Love,
Jen

So many blogs, so little time, why would that guy waste his spewing negativity? I'm happy to have found both yours and Sue's blogs. I'm fond of lovely intellects! ;)

In all fairness to Anon, everyone know The Devil wears Prada.

(Love you, Sue)

A coward by any other name is still a coward. Either have the balls to stand behind what you have to say or keep it to your narrow-minded, nasty LITTLE self. He's probably afraid Sue would kick his ass with her Prada purse.

Wait, no, I retract my previous post. Maybe Sue SHOULD lay off the Thank-god-for-Obama/Good riddance Bush bit. Maybe that's like saying "Look how great Franz Klammer is at skiing and how bad, bad, baddy, BAD Sony Bono was. And maybe this guy is a bad skiier too - in manner of Christopher Reeves (after the accident) - and so he's all, "Oh. no. you. didn't," when Sue points out the painful truth.

Right on, Amy. I came over to see your blog after reading your comment on Sue's. Anonymous is a pathetic loser.

I have a favor to ask. I'm about to teach a social justice class using 5 popular culture films and my brain has frozen. Seriously. So I'm seeking INTELLIGENT people's (ie if you're reading this, Anonymous, don't bother, please) suggestions for discussion questions. Hope you'll come over and comment with a few during the next five days. The first post is at http://halfirishrover.blogspot.com/2009/01/first-of-five-days-of-my-leeching-off.html

Thanks!
