And Then There Were Two.....

Here's usedtobecyberfriendmeredith who is now my friend Meredith. Isn't she pretty? That's not the point, I just thought it should be said. The point is... there have been many "NO'S!" to sky diving and one, my favorite, "Hell to the no." On the other hand there is a list of people who want to do it now. My whole gym is clamoring to go. But yet, not one reservation has been made. Not one irrefundable dollar spent on rocketing out of a plane. Until today that is. I got the most wonderful txt. I love txts, just so you know. I'm one of those. I love to see that little red light flashing on my phone. Back on track, so I got this txt and I am writing it here:
" Just got off the phone w/ them...I'm going skydiving Sunday at 12!!! U totally inspired me... can't talk anyone into going so I'm going alone."

Come on, can I get a holla. Talk about guts. I am so in love with that txt I think I might frame it. Because I am a total band wagoner. Right now I am on the sky diving band wagon, get me while I'm hot. I think everyone should do it. I'm talking to you. Seriously, you hurl yourself out of a plane at 12,000 feet, what can't you do? And to go alone? See, Meredith lives in Miami or I would definitely be there (taking pictures). I think that is so brave. I had Marc to lean on. Although at the end there, there was not a lot of talking. We were both pretty much wrapped up in our own minds, but still, he went first. So go get 'em Meredith. You rock so hard. Send me some of the stills, I'm posting everyone's sky diving pictures. Lula, you coming??

On another note for all of the brother Mark fans, which just annoyingly seems to multiply. Does anyone remember, he's gay! Do you know sometimes we go out and he gets hit on while I'm with him! Honestly, the nerve of some of those gay guys. For God's sake how do they know I'm not his much younger wife? His child bride? Anyway, Mark has decided he is going to jump too. He was scared, but so competitive (sibling rivalry) that he has worked up the nerve to go. I sure hope he doesn't wimp out, that would suck. I mean then I would be the best looking and the bravest. Poor little angel.

Gorgeous Meredith, if I lived in Miami, I'd jump with you, and then I'd make out with you if you'd have me. You see, Amy keeps reminding everyone the I'm gay, but she forgot to mention that I'll easily jump the fence for a hot makeout session with a hot chick any day, as long as she's not married or something. I don't need some crazy husband banging down my door. Anyway, Meredith, I'm so pysched for you and can't wait to see your jump video and hear about your experience.

Amy, you better work this "bravest" sibling angle for all it's worth over the next few weeks because once I jump, we'll be even, well, except for the fact that I aced the trapeze while you downed a cocktail and took pictures. Granted, trapeze is now chump change, but an edge is an edge. You know, there's actually nothing you can do to beat me in the end because I get to have you as my sister, which is better, if only slightly, than having me as a brother. I love you so much. You just bring so much sunshine and good craziness into my life.

HOLLA! Go Meredith and Mark!

Girl, I'll jump on the bandwagon, but not out of the plane.

Mark, now you're just being greedy. :)
I did concede you won at the trapeze but only because you were trying to impress that guy. What was his name?
Thank you, and I was kidding, you are definitely the best looking, you have fans.

Tiffany, Thanks for the cheer, I'm happy for them too. No interest? What if I tagged you? ;)

With all this throw-yourself-from-a-plane talk, the term fan sounds sooooo tame. Can I be a stalker? Mark, do you have a rabbit?

Amy, you win even if I do jump. You did it first, so I am nothing more than a copycat. Meredith, because she is doing it alone avoids copycat status. You both have incredible courage.

Whoa--go Meredith! That is awesome! I can't believe you're going to do it EVEN without company--maybe I can be like you or Amy in my next life. Can't wait to see any pics you send to Amy.

Amy--you & Mark are so freakin' funny! I totally want to habg out with you when I ever get to NYC...as long as you promise not to get me drunk & take my skydiving!

Or even HANG out with you--I hate type-Os!

Kathy, Marks life blood is stalkers. He couldn't be happier.
And Christy, we would love to party with you, although we can't make any promises......

Oh Mark - you have now officially won my heart. A gay man who will cross the line for a kiss....love those. I let my gay friend Andreas feel my boobs and I'd let you too if you asked - what are friends for.

Amy, I now have no choice but to go now do I. You mentioned you were going to blog about it but I didn't really understand to what degree. Nonetheless, I'm springing for the $89 video so I will have proof. I did manage to talk a friend into coming to watch the actual jump. Just in case I die I thought I'd feel better if I wasn't technically 'alone'.

Next time, Me, You, Brother Mark, and Your Marc can all jump together. Maybe we can start a skydiving team?

You SO totally know yourself....you ARE a bandwagon kinda gal!! And loving the term 'child bride'! How amusing! I miss you! Can't wait to hang out in one month!!!
Love,
Jen

Meredith rocks. Amy, you know I want to do this, too. One day. I promise. Can I come up there and do it? Will you go with me?

And your brother is cracking me up..."easily jump the fence for a hot makeout session." I love it!

I also love that you keep reminding everyone that he's gay. But we're all still, "Mark is hot,"
as if we stand a chance.

Yeah, I'm married. I have a crush on Edward, too. And Jason Statham. What of it?

I'd love to respond to each of you who has mentioned me in one way or another, but this is Amy's blog, so let me just say to all of you that I am flattered. I think it's so cool that Amy has been able to gather such a fun, interesting and caring online family through her blog. I never thought I'd be the type to take part in a cyber community, but this one makes me smile every day, and I am honored to be a part of it. You guys are the best. Mark

...and I cannot believe MB did trapeze! I need some pics. Hopefully with him in some sparkly shiny spandex;)

Jen, sparkly shiny spandex??? I'm gay, but not a big 'mo. I watch football, for crying out loud.

Oh dear, if I hear any more fawning over this Mark guy from NYC I think I'll puke. Who is this clown?

As for the skydiving - no way, no how! Let me remain the sane sibling with two feet stuck fast to terra firma. My idea of a crazy time is switching from regular coffee to Hazelnut blend on Fridays. Kooky huh?

I guess the cold, hard truth is I don't have the sack for it, I can't - in my wildest Hazelnut musings - even imagine jumping out of a plane. I mean, you guys realize that if the 'chute doesn't open there may be some discomfort involved. How 'bout Boggle or Yahtzee? Anyone up for that?

Love you, Chris. So good to finally hear from you.
